Dusty mauve is rapidly becoming the new wedding colour obsession and we love using it when making your bridal accessories. It is usually a pale purple colour similar to lavender and lilac that blends in with all metallic tones for a chic wedding or pastel colours for a muted tone wedding.
We recently had the honour to make a garter with that soft and dreamy tone for Bettina, our sweet German bride and we love how it turned out.
THE INSPIRATION
The inspirations behind the garter were the dusty mauve lace from the Judy garter, a popular style from our recent garter collection, and the floral applique from the Cassy garter, full of feminine and romantic details.
Because Bettina had already ordered the Sylvana earrings and Infinity Roses Bracelet, we were also inspired to add leafy and floral gold elements to her garter to match with her jewellery.
THE DESIGN
We used a beautiful floral off white lace and created 3D flowers to give some texture and a romantic touch to the garter. We also used Bettina's favourite gold elements from our selection and completed the design with hand beaded pearls and beads in dusty mauve, gold and white. Bettina was in awe when she saw the finished piece and we couldn't be happier with how it looks.
